Ingredients:
50 grams bittersweet/ semisweet chocolate bits/ flakes/ pieces
1 tablespoon brewed coffee
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
How to make the delicious marble cake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt the semisweet chocolate with coffee.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Keep this aside.
To the butter, add sugar, eggs, vanilla and sour cream.
Lastly add the flour mixture.
With the mixer on low speed alternately add the flour mixture and the milk to the batter, in three additions, beginning and ending with the flour.
Divide your batter into two halves. In the first one goes the melted chocolate. The other one remains as it. In your baking dish, spoon the two different batters alternatively.
Swirl your spoon lightly in the batter to form marble silk like patterns within. Dont over do this.
Bake for about 50 – 60 minutes, or until the toothpick/ knife comes out clean.
Remove, cool and drool.
