The Dream of a Seed – Soul Poetry
Maybe it is true
no matter how gently
and with love I touch,
I’d only hurt you.
Or maybe you wanted me
to touch you this way
to come to you
and ruin you today
Or perhaps you conjured this
crossing of our ways
for a moment to feel alive
this want to live today
For you have
in silences, in caresses
and folds between,
entrusted me
your tomorrow’s dreams
in hope that they find home
somewhere far
someplace safe
on lands unseen
As I plant them now
ever so gently with love
I wonder how
we imprinted on each other
our unspoken vows
That you willed a thousand deaths
for promises unseen
that midst this darkness
You dared to dream.
